The union centrals met and reached an agreement to call a general strike day for April 28.<\/p>\n

The strike is against the Reform of the Social Security, Labor Reform and outsourcing, government measures that attack hard the rights of the workers.

Brazil has been hit hard by the global crisis of capitalism with a great recession, and workers are being heavily attacked.<\/p>\n

O Brasil vem sendo atingido fortemente pela crise global do capitalismo com uma grande recess\u00e3o, e os trabalhadores sendo fortemente atacados.<\/i><\/p>\n

The global crisis of capitalism has led to major attacks on workers’ rights worldwide, as well as to inter-imperialist disputes, the largest being between the US \/ EU blocs and the imperialist bloc of China \/ Russia.<\/p>\n

A crise global do capitalismo tem levado a grandes ataques aos diretos dos trabalhadores no mundo todo, e tamb\u00e9m a disputas inter imperialistas sendo a maior delas entre os blocos do EUA\/EU e o bloco imperialista da China\/Russia.<\/i><\/p>\n

The PT ruled Brazil for more than 13 years in alliance with sectors of the bourgeoisie, applying neoliberal policies in the country. The main project of the PT was the rapprochement with \u00a0Chinese imperialism and the BRICS, which is now being dismantled by the \u201cCar Wash\u201d operation of the Federal Police. Everyone who has ruled over the last 15 years, from the PT to the PMDB, which currently governs the country, is being accused of corruption by the \u201cCar Wash\u201d investigation. Even parliamentarians of the PSDB, that were opposition to Dilma and integrate today the government Temer, are denounced in the operation of the federal police.<\/p>\n

O PT governou o Brasil por mais de 13 anos em alianca com setores da burguesia, aplicando as pol\u00edticas neoliberais no pa\u00eds. O principal projeto do PT foi a aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o com o imperialismo Chines e os BRICS, que hoje est\u00e1 sendo desmontado pela opera\u00e7\u00e3o Lava Jato, da policia Federal. Todos que governaram nos \u00faltimos 15 anos, do PT ao PMDB, que governa o pa\u00eds atualmente, est\u00e3o sendo acusados de corrup\u00e7\u00e3o pela lava Jato. Inclusive paarlamentares do PSDB, que eram oposi\u00e7\u00e3o a Dilma e integram hoje o governo Temer, s\u00e3o denunciados na opera\u00e7\u00e3o da policia federal.<\/i><\/p>\n

Proponents of the \u201cCar Wash\u201d investigation say the operation is related to the corruption of the PT government at Petrobras and that this corruption is what caused the economic crisis in the country. But the \u201cCar Wash\u201d investigation was not the \u00a0end of the \u00a0corruption, which is an inherent \u00a0part of the capitalist system and the relation of the bourgeoisie to the state. And neither was the economic crisis caused by the PT, but by the global crisis of capitalism that bogged down in 2008 and today reaches the whole world.<\/p>\n

Os defensores da lava-jato dizem que a opera\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 cotra a corrup\u00e7\u00e3o do governo do PT na Petrobras e que essa corrup\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 que causou a crise econ\u00f4mica no pa\u00eds. Mas a lava-jato n\u00e3o \u00e9 para acabar com a corrup\u00e7\u00e3o, que \u00e9 parte do sistema capitalista e da rela\u00e7\u00e3o da burguesia com o Estado. E nem a crise econ\u00f4mica foi causada pelo PT, mas pela crise global do capitalismo que estorou em 2008 e atinge o mundo todo at\u00e9 hoje.<\/i><\/p>\n

The PT in 2009 delivered billions of Reals (R$) to save the big companies and banks. The slaughterhouses alone, now involved in allegations of fraud in the Federal Police’s<\/a> \u201cSpoiled Meat\u201d operation, received R$10 billion from the BNDES (the Brazilian Development Bank). \u00a0Additional \u00a0billions of R$ were granted to various sectors of private enterprise. The government soon began to charge the workers’ the bill with the austerity measures. And Dilma already announced the need for the Pension Reform before the impeachment.<\/p>\n

O PT em 2009 destinou bilh\u00f5es de reais para salvar as grandes empresas e bancos. Somente para os frigor\u00edficos, agora envolvidos nas denuncias de fraude na opera\u00e7\u00e3o Carne Fraca da policia federal, receberam R$10 bilhoes do BNDES, mais bilh\u00f5es de reais foram concedidos para v\u00e1rios setores do empresariado. O governo, logo passou a cobrar a conta dos trabalhadores com as medidas de austeridade e Dilma, antes do impeachment, j\u00e1 anunciava a necessidade da Reforma da Previdencia.<\/i><\/p>\n

The era of hefty credits and commodity sales to China were over, and the right wing seized the moment of popular dissatisfaction with austerity measures for parliamentary and legal maneuvering that led to Dilma’s impeachment.<\/p>\n

A \u00e9poca de cr\u00e9ditos fartos e venda de commodities para a China acabaram e a direita aproveitou o momento de insatisfa\u00e7\u00e3o popular com as medidas de austeridade para as manobras parlamentares e jur\u00eddicas que levaram ao impeachment de Dilma.<\/i><\/p>\n

Obviously, the economic crisis did not end with the fall of the PT, and the bourgeoisie and the media who defend the \u201cCar Wash\u201d against “corruption” say that pension reforms are key to getting the country out of the crisis. The current government is struggling to approve reforms knowing that this is critical to staying in power.<\/p>\n

Obviamente, a crise econ\u00f4mica n\u00e3o acabou com a queda do PT, e a burguesia e a m\u00eddia que defendem a lava-jato contra a \u201ccorrup\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d diz que as reformas da previd\u00eancia \u00e9 fundamental para tirar o pa\u00eds da crise. O atual governo se esfor\u00e7a para aprovar as reformas sabendo que isso \u00e9 fundamental para se manter no poder.<\/i><\/p>\n

The PT says there was a coup in the country. But Brazil had (1964) already suffered a coup and knows what it means, with tanks on the streets and repression of workers and youth. The impeachment of Dilma was a maneuver inside the parliament, a “blow” that the PT suffered from its own allies. The coup narrative of the PT demobilized the working class, leaving them unprepared for a real blow.<\/p>\n

O PT diz que houve um golpe no pa\u00eds. Mas o Brasil j\u00e1 sofreu um golpe de Estado e sabe o que isso significa, com tanques nas ruas e repress\u00e3o aos trabalhadores e a juventude. O impeachment de Dilma foi uma manobra por dentro do parlamento, um \u201cgolpe\u201d que o PT sofreu de seus pr\u00f3prios aliados. A narrativa de golpe do PT desprepara e desmobiliza a classe trabalhadora para um verdadeiro golpe.<\/i><\/p>\n

As already mentioned, the current government is also involved in the corruption scandals and applying the same measures of attack to the workers that weakened Dilma and the PT. Supported by \u201cCar Wash\u201d and the government’s low \u00a0popularity, the extreme right is growing. Reactionary sectors such as the police have held “strikes” and demonstrations, unsatisfied with the crisis situation, although the solution for them has nothing to do with the interests of the working class.The PT continues with its alliances with the bourgeoisie and the party of \u00a0the \u201cCar Wash,\u201d defending Lula and \u00a0\u201cdemocracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Como j\u00e1 dito, o atual governo tamb\u00e9m est\u00e1 envolvido nos esc\u00e2ndalos de corrup\u00e7\u00e3o e aplicando as mesmas medidas de ataque aos trabalhadores que enfraqueceram Dilma e o PT. Apoiada na lava-jato e na baixa popularida de do governo, a extrema direita cresce. Setores reacion\u00e1rios como as policias tem feito \u201cgreves\u201d e manifestacoes insatisfeitos com a situa\u00e7\u00e3o de crise, da qual a solu\u00e7\u00e3o para eles n\u00e3o tem nada a ver com os interesses da classe trabalhadora. O PT continua com suas alian\u00e7as com a burguesia para defender Lula e o partido da lava-jato e para defender a \u201cdemocracia\u201d.<\/i><\/p>\n

Workers’ dissatisfaction with unemployment, back pay, inflation, withdrawal of rights and corruption is increasing. The trade union centrals that call for a general strike day are the same ones that have demobilized and undermined indefinite strikes of several categories.<\/p>\n

A insatisfa\u00e7\u00e3o dos trabalhadores com desemprego, sal\u00e1rios atrasados, infla\u00e7\u00e3o, retirada de direitos e corrup\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 cada vez maior. As centrais sindicais que chamam um dia de greve geral s\u00e3o as mesmas que tem desmobilizado e desmanchado greves por tempo indeterminado de v\u00e1rias categorias.<\/i><\/p>\n

The union bureaucracy was pressured and called the General Strike, because they run the risk of losing total credibility before the workers. While bureaucratic leadership dismantles strikes and boycotts any single-front initiative and independent working class organization, they guarantee a one-day strike on a Friday, ensuring it does not extend beyond 24 hours.<\/p>\n

A burocracia sindical foi pressionada e chamar a Greve Geral, pois correm os risco de perder total credibilidade perante os trabalhadores. Enquanto as dire\u00e7\u00f5es burocr\u00e1ticas desmontam greves e boicotam qualquer iniciativa de frente \u00fanica e organiza\u00e7\u00e3o independente da classe trabalhadora, garantem uma greve de apenas um dia, em uma sexta-feira, garantindo que n\u00e3o se estenda al\u00e9m das 24h.<\/i><\/p>\n

The main trade union center, the CUT, is linked to the interests of the trade union bureaucracy and the PT, with its alliances with the bourgeoisie, in the interest of defending Lula from \u201cCar Wash\u201d and bourgeois “democracy.” It is necessary that the workers break with the CUT and the PT and the bureaucracies of the other central federations: Forca syndical, UGt, etc.<\/p>\n

The general strike is a struggle against the bourgeoisie and the government, which react with strong repression to defend their interests. Workers need independent organization, a united front that unites and strengthens these organizations, committees by workplace, and self-advocacy committees. The independent organization of the rank-and-file \u00a0is necessary so that the workers can advance their struggle and not be subordinated to the interests of the union bureaucracy and the central federations.<\/p>\n

A greve geral \u00e9 uma luta contra a burguesia e o governo, que reagem com forte repress\u00e3o para defender seus interesses. Os trabalhadores precisam de organiza\u00e7\u00e3o independente, de uma frente \u00fanica que uma e fortale\u00e7a essas organiza\u00e7\u00f5es, de comit\u00eas por local de trabalho e comit\u00eas de auto defesa. A organiza\u00e7\u00e3o de base e independente \u00e9 necess\u00e1ria para que os trabalhadores possam avan\u00e7ar na luta e n\u00e3o ficarem submetidos aos interesses da burocracia sindical e das centrais.<\/i><\/p>\n

The way out of the crisis for the working class is the struggle against the bourgeoisie and capital, with independent organizations and a revolutionary party for a true workers’ government. The 13 years of Popular Front rule have demonstrated that alliances with the bourgeoisie and a reformist program do not represent the interests of the working class. The struggle against the current government and the growth of the right and extreme right needs to be carried through with total class independence. As for Brazilian workers, it is no alternative to American imperialism to align with Chinese imperialism. Today we see the left divide between the defense of one imperialist bloc or another, like the Stalinist and “RT socialists” (who repeat the propaganda of the media linked to the Russian government: Russia Today) defending the Syrian dictator against the people’s struggle and cheating the struggles of workers around the world.<\/p>\n

A sa\u00edda da crise para classe trabalhadora \u00e9 a luta contra a burguesia e o capital, com organizacoes independentes e um partido revolucion\u00e1rio para um verdadeiro governo dos trabalhadores. Os 13 anos de governo de Frente Popular demonstraram que alian\u00e7as com a burguesia e um programa reformista n\u00e3o representam os interesses da classe trabalhadora. A luta contra o atual governo e o crescimento da direita e extrema direita precisa ser feita com total independ\u00eancia de classe. Assim como para os trabalhadores brasileiros n\u00e3o \u00e9 nenhuma alternativa ao imperialismo americano a alianca com o imperialismo chin\u00eas. Hoje vemos a esquerda se dividir entre a defesa de um bloco imperialista ou outro, como os stalinista e \u201csocialista RT\u201d (que repetem as propagandas da m\u00eddia ligada ao governo russo: Russia Today) defendendo o ditador s\u00edrio contra a luta do povo e traindo as lutas dos trabalhadores no mundo todo.<\/i><\/p>\n
