USA: For a Workers United Front against Fascism!
The ruling class assault on working class cities has been unleashed. Highly militarized ICE, DHS and if Trump gets his way National Guard and the regular armed forces will join the assault on workers protesting the abduction of our co-workers by ICE, the genocide against Palestine and war on Venezuela. CLASS WAR IS ON!
The U.S. ruling capitalist class has no way to escape the crisis of falling profits crushing the economy except by downloading the crisis onto its Western imperialist allies and semi-colonies. Production for private wealth accumulation has crossed the line from cyclical to terminal crisis as capitalism is destroying the conditions for its existence by ripping-off nature including the workers who refuse to pay for the crisis with their livelihoods and lives.
This crisis cannot be resolved by the Democrats and Republicans alternating political power back and forth. The Uniparty cannot increase labor productivity to reverse the decline of the empire. The ruling class hired Trump to escalate its Class War by imposing a tariff/trade war on all of its trading partners to make them pay for its crisis. But this backfired when most refused to agree to the rising taxes/price increases imposed on them to protect U.S. profits. Thus there is no way out for the ruling classes to make workers pay for their crisis other than resorting to fascism, genocide and war.
If you don’t believe us here is the evidence that the fascist coup is consolidating and expanding executive power to directly download the crisis onto the working class. The coup’s purpose is to declare and enter new wars, and suppress resistance including the shut down of Congress and the deployment of the military against all domestic resistance.
Trump’s strategy of downloading the crisis onto workers is already being met by spontaneous and growing resistance. As the crisis deepens the attacks on jobs, wages, unions etc. unleashed by Trump’s fascist politics are being resisted. In recent years the stagnant economy has been opposed by striking youth and working people. But Trump’s policy is forced to develop rapidly into a full blown fascism at home and unqualified support for the Zionist genocide in Palestine. As Netanyahu unleashes war and genocide it meets with world-wide opposition to the destruction of Palestine in the name of a Greater Israel.
We insist that the current situation arising out of the U.S. terminal crisis is such an existential threat to the U.S. ruling class that it must return to its colonial origins of genocide, whereby the ruling class uses every means necessary to survive: fascist imperialist wars for labor, technology and markets in Eurasia, Africa and the Western Hemisphere. But given its parasitical hegemonic existence at the expense of the rest of the world, the crisis becomes most explosive on the U.S. home front. The genocide in Gaza, the fascist ICE attacks on immigrant workers and the rise of fascism at home and in Europe can be defeated only by the overthrow of the U.S. ruling class by means of the international unity of the world’s workers organized as a revolutionary class.
ICE agents have been abducting our co-workers, kicking in doors, smashing car windows, drawing their guns and shooting resistance fighters. Working people have been rising up. Local and regional networks for neighborhood defense are countering the masked goons kidnapping our immigrant sisters and brothers. From Rochester to L.A., organizers are providing “know your rights” training and are building rapid response networks. Workers must turn spontaneous resistance into organized self-defense guards based in every union hall and working class community!
We say build independent working class political action based in the Trade Unions!
Musk/Bezos/Zuckerberg/Elison etc. lead the capitalist class in union busting. The workers’ hands are tied by the trade union tops who are unwilling to break with the Democrats. Bound to the Democrats with shackles that voluntarily limit the class struggle by accepting the restraints of Taft-Hartley, the Taylor Act and the NLRB which ruled that solidarity and general strikes are illegal.
To defeat Trumpian fascism and imperialist wars, workers we need to counter the bosses’ CLASS WAR with our OWN invincible CLASS WAR including: worker action/struggle committees to organize work place occupations, sitdown strikes, Labor, Black and Brown self defense militia and political General strikes that reach for revolutionary state power.
Yet the Union bureaucracy and the labor aristocracy it serves have long statized the union movement tying the working class to the capitalist class through the Democratic and sometimes the Republican or Green Parties. Workers need our own Mass fighting workers’ Labor Party. The Party will not be formed just by calling for it. Workers organize class struggle caucuses in the Trade Unions to re-orient our unions to use class struggle methods and establish labor’s class independence both in methods of struggle and at the ballot box!
Many today see the fascist threat for what it is, a war against workers, immigrant workers in particular. Many see the imperialist empire in decay seeking to retain its international position by wars in Ukraine, Occupied Palestine, the DRC and Sudan and the threat of wars with Venezuela and China. To defeat fascism and war workers need to unite all workers organizations, socialists, anarchists, syndicalists, and trade unionists in a Workers United Front against Fascism and Imperialist wars.
We must create working class politics. We need a united front uniting our forces behind a working class program which stands for the historic interests of the working class! We reject bourgeois conceptions of “independence,” that are wide enough to give our class’s political power away, subordinating us to treachery of misleaders who divert the class in the face of fascism in the interests of the bourgeoisie. We don’t take our marching orders from alien class forces, those who won’t fight for workers’ power, those who openly deride us in the service of the popular front with admonitions that our program is divisive too far out in front of the workers. We reject the lies of class traitors that say workers have anything to gain from the popular front.
Let’s organize against ICE, and the employment of the National Guard in every state, against all state and parastate forces unleashed by Trump to smash workers’ power. The USA is facing a race between a workers revolution and the fascist counterrevolution! To defeat fascism we need to rapidly form a mass revolutionary party. For a national assembly of all workers in struggle, organized into local and regional councils and militias, to reach agreement on the program. We need to build a general strike to smash fascism and bring workers to power in a workers’ government!
United Fronts are forming up in the struggle against fascism and war. The many formations in struggle need to be united immediately into one mass hemispheric United Front action committee.
The CWG/ILTT unites with every worker’s action to smash fascism; we march separately under our own banner and program to defeat the counter revolution with socialist revolution!
We submit the following program to unify the working class. We hide no agenda, we take responsibility to propose the historically necessary demands:
Abolish ICE, CBP & DHS! Release ICE detainees. No raids! No deportations!
Close Alligator Alcatraz and all DHS and all immigrant detention centers.
Organize the unorganized thru Class Struggle!
We demand Labor’s right to a contract, to unionize, to organize, and to strike!
Smash Taft-Hartley with solidarity strikes! Picket lines mean: Do Not Cross!
Jobs for All at prevailing Union wages! Thirty hours work for forty hours pay!
Against Inflation: Build worker’s wage and price committees to set prices and wages!
Build Labor, Black and Brown Self Defense guards to defend our communities, our strikes, protests, activists, meetings and leaders!
Defend democratic/civil rights for all! Restore Free Speech and habeas corpus
Rehire all doxxed Free Speech and Palestine activists!
Stop police brutality! End the abuse of power! Hands off our Black and Brown communities! Abolish the constabulary police!
End the attacks on LGBT+ people!
Immediate permanent residence rights for all immigrant workers now!
Bring immigrant workers into the trade unions!
Same work, same contract both sides of the borders!
Put the “International” back in the International Unions!
Free D.C. Memphis, Chicago & L.A.! No Army No National Guard occupations of our cities!
Soldiers refuse illegal orders! Turn your guns around and arrest your officers!
